"That guitar is a twin to an entirely custom made instrument for my friend, Mark Hudson. In the past, when on a tight deadline, I usually requested two instruments be made in this circumstance as a backup, for instance in case one was damaged in transit. Mark gave the first one as a present to Joe Perry to commemorate Mark's work as a producer for Aerosmith, and since the spare was not needed, it was sold. Joe's guitar had a special pick guard with Mark's signature/logo on it, whereas the spare did not."
